KK in the SB; trap him?
Opponent is a nit: 14/11/1.5 over ~70 hands. I find cowboys in the SB and it is folded to me. So I wanna trap him... Thoughts?
Limit Holdem Ring game Limit: $1/$2 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 4 folds, Hero calls, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB calls. Flop: 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 4[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (5.5SB, 2 players) Hero bets, BB calls. Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] (3.75BB, 2 players) Hero bets, BB raises, Hero 3-bets, BB caps, Hero calls. Re: KK in the SB; trap him?
I'd raise preflop instead of the LRR. Almost every time I see someone make this play they have AA or KK so if you're trying to disguise your hand, just call his raise. If people are folding to your raises too often when you have monsters then you should be raising more.

Re: KK in the SB; trap him?
I think preflop and flop are fine. This guy probably folds his bb a lot so the value that you get postflop outweighs what you leave on the table preflop. Id just call down from the turn raise though.

[/ QUOTE ] really, your LRR says, "I have KK or AA" Him being a nit, his turn raise says, "I can beat KK or AA, so give me money" |
