Overpair + NFD on flop
Villian is 40/28/3 over about 35 hands. No reads as I just sat down at the table and stats are from previous session which I didnt make notes on.
Hero($25) Villian($19) Pacific Poker No Limit Holdem Ring game Blinds: $0.12/$0.25 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] UTG raises to $1, UTG+1 calls, 2 folds, Hero raises to $3.13, BB folds, UTG calls, UTG+1 folds. Flop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($7.51, 2 players) Hero checks, UTG bets $4, Hero raises to $21.5, UTG calls. Results: Final pot: $50.51 This is standard right? What about the flop check? I figured he is agro enough to bet in a pot so large when checked to, and if he checks behind there aren't many cards coming that will worry me too much anyway. Standard shove? Anyone play this differently? I think maybe raising to closer to $4 pf given the raise and a call. |

Re: Overpair + NFD on flop
I'd rather just bet/call. But once you check, you have to c/r ai.

[ QUOTE ]
I'd rather just bet/call [/ QUOTE ] Please explain. I think if I bet the flop villian may fold some hands he bets with if I check, but once he makes any reasonable sort of flop bet he is committed. If we bet and get raised it is more likely we're beat. |
