nut flush on a paired board
Consider this the opposite of the hand Heisenb3rg just posted.
Reads: EP - bad, a little too loose, a little too passive, not at all creative button = 2+2er Aragorn, tight and aggressive BB - stupid I miss the blinds and post 6 chips in the cutoff. EP raises, I call with Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], Aragorn cold-calls on the button, BB calls. (The SB might have called too, but if he did he folded on the flop so ignore it). Flop comes A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Checked to EP who bets, I call, Aragorn calls, BB calls. Turn is 4[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]. BB checks, EP bets, I call, Aragorn calls, BB calls. River is K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. BB checks, EP checks, I bet, Aragorn raises, BB folds, EP cold-calls... Who calls and who 3-bets, and why? |

Re: nut flush on a paired board
If Aragon has a boat, seems he would've popped it on the turn. For that reason I suspect a flush, maybe J10d. I think I'd 3-bet and then face the music if 4-bet...

Re: nut flush on a paired board
I would three bet because I don't think a tight aggressive player would just call the turn with trips/boat. The only hand that might make sense for Aragorn and is beating you is 33. If you 3-bet and Aragorn 4-bets I would pay off. EP looks like he has AK/AQ.

Re: nut flush on a paired board
Ugh, tough spot. Clearly we have UTG beat, as he has some crappy A and got scared when the flush came in. I am having a hard time putting btn on a hand though. I don't think that he plays KK this way, 44 is a remote possibility I guess but I would think that he raises the turn. You haven't shown a lot of strength and he could have a smaller flush here. So yeah, go ahead and 3 bet.

Re: nut flush on a paired board
I don't get it, you have the nuts, this is the easiest of 3-bets
the only thing I can't figure out is what this dude aragorn has, can't think of much for him to be holding that makes sense perhaps quad three's, but he shouldn't have called with p3 pre flop, maybe aces, but that would be odd as well maybe JdTd / Td9d or something like that, he wouldn't necessarily raise that on the flop with you already in, allthough I'd def consider it as an option but he shouldn't call a 3-bet with any hand you beat, so 3-betting would only be for value against EP who will most likely call one more lol, curious what the results were |

Re: nut flush on a paired board
3 bet.
i dunno if we can fold to 4 cuz i dunno if aragorn would 4 ball a non-nut flush on a paired board. if he's TAG he knows you dont have a boat here, which suggests he might 4 ball JdTd. |

Re: nut flush on a paired board
I raise so fast my hand starts to bleed. If he was full, you would have heard about it on the turn.
