2/5 live: Why do I ever limp reraise w/ AA.
Game is full of super loose, super fishy LAGs, all business guys with tons of cash. The money in this game means nothing to them. It's my first time in this game and to me all the players seem to fit similar profiles, the only difference is that the two players on my right, and the one on my left seem to be slightly less loose, and more passive preflop. Lot's of reraising going on preflop with pretty light holdings A6 etc. I've built my stack up to around 2500, cutoff who I have history with (he likes to try to outplay me) has like 5k. Super volatile supper laggy.
Preflop UTG limps. I limp w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]A [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. MP1 limps. MP2 limps. cutoff raises to 35. Blinds/UTG fold. I raise to 125. MPs fold. cutoff calls. Flop 8 [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]T [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I bet 200. He raises to 400. I flat call. Turn T [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I check. He bets 400. I call. River Q [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] I check. He bets 500. I? Advice on lines? I'll post results later. |

lol, another reason to not limp/rrz - cuz your deep.
If you raise, and he re-raises, you can 4-bet like a biznatch and be happy to get it in post flop. As played, the river bet is 1/5th of the pot. Call ya big girl. He has KK. |

make it $1200 [/ QUOTE ] Im just getting into mid stakes, but isnt this huge spew? Unless you put him on a T exactly. I call this and expect to see a worse hand enough % of the time to make it +EV (JJ/KK/heart draw/air). |

Re: 2/5 live: Why do I ever limp reraise w/ AA.
Only if you put him a T right? Hes always calling a Q, you are ahead of every draw and lower PP except 88/TT/QQ (last 2 both unlikely).
So please elaborate? |

LRR to 125 when you have 2500 is not something I'm keen on. ESPECIALLY when there's a lot of light reraising going on. I have no flipping clue what to do here postflop.

Re: 2/5 live: Why do I ever limp reraise w/ AA.
I rarely play this deep.
However, theoretically, I would say that playing out of position is not something you want to do without a really big hand. In this case, I dont consider an overpair to be a big hand. Proceed with caution! There's enough chance that your hand is good to indicate a call is correct on the river. The only way you are going to win a big pot here is to flop another Ace, so unless you can get a good chunk in before the flop, it looks like a passive approach may be best. |

Re: 2/5 live: Why do I ever limp reraise w/ AA.
I thought about pushing. Then I was trying to pump myself up to do it, but there was too much sand in my vagina at the time. We had this weird history, like he really wants to outplay me. I also gave him enough credit to know I probably had a big hand here. So raising the flop w/ just a queen would be ridiculous. He should be trying to bust me here. So, I thought he had to have 2 pair, set maybe, J9, or a draw. This was my first time playing with him, so I couldn't really put a bead on the miniraise. With the second T and second Q coming and his bet sizes, I really thought it would be odd for him to have a naked Q or naked T here. So, I thought busted draw or QT. River bet from him is never J9. Long story short I end up calling. He shows AdJd. I cream my pants.
Edit: I realized as soon as I limp reraised how bad of a decision it was. Sucked x2 w/ QhTh8s flop. |
