Straight chopping?
I've been getting into the live tourney scene more latley, and it seems that players at the final table chop the remaining payouts evenly, i.e no consideration given to stack size. Is this common or did I see/hear about some outliers?

Re: Straight chopping?
In small buy-in tournaments where fast blind structures result in a BB of 1/4 of the chip leader's stack, even chops are pretty common since no one has a real advantage. In higher buy-in tournaments there is usually more consideration given to chip stacks during a deal. But they aren't as "structured" as the chops you see online since no one has their ICM calculating software handy.

Re: Straight chopping?
I experienced this recently in a $53 + $12 at the Showboat when the chipleader suggested an even chop when we got down to 5 players.
