couple fr hands
never played fullring but the game looked okay so i sat, interested in comments on these hands:
hand 1: villain is sweetluvin, i've sat with them at nl2k sixmax i think they're about 20/12 but no real history. didn't bet the flop cause i felt my hand had good value but couldn't stand a raise despite the ample semi-bluffing opportunities available. on the turn i felt villain's small c/r didn't correlate with a made hand given the very drawy board, so i decided to call with the intention of showing down on any blank river. anyone prefer 3betting turn to $1650 or so since there are loads of bad river cards? as played we..? Re: couple fr hands
thoughts about betting like 300 on river in hand 2?
hand 1 i like as played and fold riv, I agree with your assumptions about turn play. The river is hard but the guy is probably nitty at full ring and I would imagine that he probably doesn't think you can have a flush here so can be : A) betting river for value with a set B) bluffing the scare card because you have to fold most of your range I think both are actually legitimate because since he believes you aren't on a draw his turn c/r just has to try and get your weaker hands to pay off as that is your most likely range. I would imagine that unless you think villain is strong he probably isn't strong enough for B to be close to A. I don't really like 3-betting the turn and I still am not sure if we should call a river blank against an opponent that we are not sure of his tendencies and seems nittish (low pfr/vpip for 6-max probably correlates proportionately to fr) |

Re: couple fr hands
True, is your suggestion for the second hand designed to induce a raise or moreso to expand the range with which my opponent may call? I have never used underbets in spots like this but it seems like an interesting idea.

Guess I could have chosen a more appealing Subject title.

Re: couple fr hands
I think that both hands are kind of interestingly complex but look very simple / standard. I remember sometimes writing a response to peoples threads and then deleting it thinking that I could be way off on a simple situation. I was actually quite eager to hear other responses.
