Re: JJ in C/O with Big Raise from the Button
first time, i prefer a flat call to MP2's raise. (although a case can be made for pushing if you think you may get called 55 etc, which is possible since this looks like a low buy-in.) i don't really see the point in a small raise.
second time i think i fold without a read. JJ doens't play well 3-handed. by the way, you'll usually get more and better answers if you put buy in in the title. |

Re: JJ in C/O with Big Raise from the Button
I think I'd fold here.
MP2 raised, you re-raise, Button 4 bets, SB calls all in..but you forgot to put what UTG+1, MP1, and MP2 did. |

Re: JJ in C/O with Big Raise from the Button
I'd fold pretty quickly. Also, I think you should either flat-call the raise, or reraise more. I'm not a big fan of the 80 chip minraise, I don't think it accomplishes much.

Re: JJ in C/O with Big Raise from the Button
Button feels like AK / maybe AQ and he wants to end the hand, Squeeze play, or Potenailly AA, (though this is less likely mathematically, at this level they like to do this often as they think (often correctly) they are going to get at least 1 call). The only good outcome here is the squeeze play, but then the SB called. I'm taking my lumps and getting out of Dodge on this one.

Re: JJ in C/O with Big Raise from the Button
You need to reraise properly or just call - you didn't minraise, but just doubling his bet isn't sufficient. You've got a strong but vulnerable hand which is a pig to play after the flop. You really don't want to be inviting others in and you need to charge plenty for the chance to outflop you. You'd also like to make sure you have position post-flop, so raise enough to make sure the hands behind you get folded.
Stack size is awkward - a decent reraise should be to ~380 which is 30% of your stack, so if you're going to reraise you should push instead. Calling is fine. As played, fold - it's very unlikely you're ahead. |
