Gutshot in enormo pot. Bet?
Incredible $10/20 6-max table. Everyone is a moron, including me of course.
UTG limps, MP limps, CO limps. Standard. I raise ATs on the button. SB threebets, call, call, call, CO caps, lol, we see a flop six ways. Flop is KQ2 rainbow and they check it to me. Anyone want to bet? Why, or why not? Guy. |

Anyone want to bet? [/ QUOTE ] Nope! - You dont have the best hand. - You dont fold better hands - You dont have enough eq to worry about protection - You will be c/r'ed with significant probability. - You will rarely get the free river. I would take the free card while I still can and hope to improve. |

Agree with Oink, wouldn't bet. Though I think you can definitely get the cheap river sometimes, but that possibility gets screwed with when you get checkraised on the flop or the turn is bet-raise to you anyway.

Re: Gutshot in enormo pot. Bet?
I remember an article from Ed Miller I read yesterday : For most low/mid limit players, the limp-reraise is a giveaway for a monster (KK/AA).
Anyway I won't bet that. Just pray for a J. |

[/ QUOTE ] First of all, this is not true all the time, I see some limp-reraising with other hands as well. Most importantly though, that statement is meant for those times somebody openlimps in early position, hoping for a raise after him and then reraising when it gets back to him. Here, he overlimped after two guys already limped. 99% of all the players in the world raises AA/KK in that situation. He probably just reraised for fun when it got back to him. Finally, OP's read was that everybody were morons. |

Take the free card here everytime i cant think of one reason why you should bet here and thats rare for me coz if theres an argument to be made i'll usualy make it !! Re: Gutshot in enormo pot. Bet?
CO has some gay suited connectors here, rarely AA/KK
SB is either afraid of a monster from CO or is waiting to c/r the expected bet from CO. def take free card. |

[/ QUOTE ] CO limped behind two and then capped when it was obvious a monster pot was brewing. That is a pure BS line, as distinct from the openlimp (in early position) and then reraise. The reason I considered a bet is an old one: sometimes it will get the pot checked to me on the turn. Guy. |
