Re: I fold a boat - nl200
I like this.
Do you think he could push a busted draw? 67d? If he happens to have AA/KK he shouldn't turn his hand into a bluff when he has showdown value. I think it's a Q most of the time, maybe a bluff a very small % of the time. |

Re: I fold a boat - nl200
I advocate never donk betting the flop against a TAG. He's going to cbet this flop most of the time, so go for a standard check/raise ~$40. I don't like checking the turn, as villain could check behind with a queen, trying to conceal his hand in a poor fashion. Bet $70 on the turn: you definitely get him all in if he has a queen, and you fold out all worse hands that he wouldn't play for stacks as a bluff on the river anyway. Your flop line messed it up by allowing to go to the river cheaply. (a donk bet messes everything up 90% of the time, anyway. it's high time you learned it)
As played it's an obvious fold. |

so [censored] terrible [/ QUOTE ] If you're going to call something '[censored] terrible', you might care to elaborate. IMO this hand is played perfectly. |

Folding is fine here, I like a check-raise on the flop though.

Re: I fold a boat - nl200
bet a bit more on flop turn. if you're going to control the betting, make sure more goes in!
river is perfect. |

Re: I fold a boat - nl200
I would have played this exactly the same. At times I think CRing a set is the way to go but you have to be pretty damn sure that the villain is going to bet which is likely but not a sure thing. Also a CR will show a lot of strenght and may let the villain get off the hand cheaply on the flop where we are presumably huge favourites.
