Live 25/50 4-handed
Some of you may remember me as "johnclay" on ub. I played mainly 50/100 NLHE and PLO.
Anyway, I'd given up playing poker last year, but after playing some 100/200 NLHE in Vegas on vacation last month, found myself in a live 25/50 game this weekend, and was kinda playing on autopilot. What do you think of this? Four handed, my image is that of "good loose-aggressive player who's not afraid to make a move, but who also pays off too much with non-nut hands". Preflop UTG folds, good player (7300 deep, I cover) limps 50 from button, SB completes. I make it 200 with Q[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] in BB, button calls, SB folds. Flop Flop comes Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] (pot=450). I check, button bets 200, I raise to 700, button calls. Turn Turn is 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] (pot=1850). I check, button bets 800, what line do I take here? (Button has 5500 left) |

Re: Live 25/50 4-handed
As played, I'd check/call, then c/c non scary river and reconsider if scare card hits.
I prefer leading out turn though |

Re: Live 25/50 4-handed
1600 on turn shove most rivers, as played I'd C/R to 2300 and shove almost all rivers.

Re: Live 25/50 4-handed
I like making a pretty lareg c/r on the turn because this line looks like a draw to a thinking opponent I'd think and he may decide to get it in light.

Re: Live 25/50 4-handed
I think pf is a bad hand to try to attack him oop with, and not a good spot to CR the flop IMO.
Having got there I would have bet the turn. |

[ QUOTE ] Overbet shove all-in. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] I agree with this raise size if you are going to raise the turn, but with the stack sizes I disagree. After checking this turn you should either call or fold. As played, call and reevaluate river. He either has you severly dominated or is severly behind, and with the raise on the turn you never get looked up with a worse hand. You aren't giving up too much of the pot by letting the river come off if he does have a bigger draw. Call. |
