For the poker pros, multiple ISP\'s? How many, and which ones?
Recently I've been playing enough hands where a disconnection, or unstable connection, and cause me a lot of frustration/tilt. For the pro's, do you have more than one ISP? And if so, how many, and which ones?
I'm thinking paying an additional x amount would be worthwhile to my sanity, and i'm wondering what is the most stable ISP available out there? |

For the most part, I wouldn't recommend Verizon. Their customer service is really really crappy, and if you have any problems ever then you're probably not going to get it fixed.
HOWEVER, I have Verizon FiOS, and not only is it very fast (5mb/2mb), but my connection is very, very stable. I worry more about power outages than I do internet disconnections. |

I've only had connection problems once in the past year, so I don't worry about it, but if I were having problems once a month or more I would unquestionably get a second connection.

[/ QUOTE ] Same thing here (cable). Once a year it goes out, if that. Had monthly or so outages with DSL in the past, but this is probably location specific. |

Re: For the poker pros, multiple ISP\'s? How many, and which ones?
can anybody recommend some good websites on internet problems?
i'm looking at my modem, and router, and everything looks good (motorola cable modem from comcast) however every hour or so, the PC/Activity orange light goes from blinking to frozen...which means i'm dead in the water. |

I have 7 TV's and 2 computers and had to get a signal booster. I don't have a problem anymore. |

i use RCN (comcast competitor) and speakeasy. when i was playing sit n go's it was more useful, but now i'm playing cash. when i switch from one isp to the other there's a lag and i don't know if it every really prevents disc's.
