Too Thin To Value Bet?
This hand came up early in the game so I didn't have much of read on the villain at this time. I figured to get paid by a smaller overpair but I don't know if I pushed it too hard or not.

Re: Too Thin To Value Bet?
1. Most of the time AA raises preflop
2. A 5 will DEFINITELY raise the turn if they don't on the flop. Also I would assume TT would as well... 3. I'da played it the same way... |

Re: Too Thin To Value Bet?
I like it
If you get raised anywhere, I dump it unless I have a read that he'll play with me. But there's enough that will call you that you beat, I think. |

I can't think of a better way to play it.

Re: Too Thin To Value Bet?
Are we ok with this pre-flop though? I know we're coming in at a discount and with 7.5:1, but we really don't have much...

Re: Too Thin To Value Bet?
Yes so standard, even if he has AA he will not raise you but will probably bet out when you check the river so pot gets the same size anyway. Almost no risk.
And dont post his river action cause you showved to us he doesnt have 5 which makes the hand easier. |
