.25/.50 lo/8, payoff this river?
Just sat down, no reads.

Re: .25/.50 lo/8, payoff this river?
I'm just learning the game, so I'm answering as much to get responses to my answer as I am to try to give advice to a player who's probably been at it longer than I have.
Fold the river; you're beat by a flush. I'd have folded on the flop because you've got 4 outs to a small boat for only half the pot. |

Bet flop, bet or check turn, fold river.

[ QUOTE ]
Bet flop, bet or check turn, fold river. [/ QUOTE ] Why bet flop? To get a counterfeited A2 to fold? |

Re: .25/.50 lo/8, payoff this river?
Is it possible that villain is betting A3?
I need to be correct x% of the time on the river to see a profit. How would I go about finding that x%? Is it equivalent to the odds you are getting? For instance, in this particular hand, 7.5:1 divided by two = 3.75:1. So I need to be correct 21% of the time to show a profit? This doesn't seem right though. I basically bet flop to charge flush draws. |
