Default 6.50 Stars...extracting max value from AA vs LAG

I shoved over this raise, villian has been very aggressive early. I figure he's probably going to call, but he folds. Should I flat call the raise and try to get it in on the flop?

Calling is terrible. Gives him a chance to get away from his hand on an ugly flop.

What about calling and then check-pushing the flop (assuming no straight or flush draws)? I would expect the villain to bet the flop the majority of time if the hero checks first. Is this out of the question?

I do think the push pf is the best move though. Given his play, I would expect him to call. Regardless, you still picked up an extra 800 chips, which ain't half bad.

Good LAG or bad LAG? Good ones aren't going to play a big pot with a bad hand. Bad ones are usually more ego driven than anything and might not be able to find a fold here. Push over both of them - the good LAG has to fold and be more wary of you in future and the bad LAG may double you up.

With these stacks you can't do much else but hope he has a good hand. You definitely want to get the limpers out or AI with their medium pairs.

He turned out to be not too bad. But I didn't know either way at the time. Still too reckless IMO but not the wacky maniac you run into a lot at the 6.50s

At this point in the tourney, several of the players are about to be playing very short stacked (as opposed to only short stacked). IMHO FPS is a very bad thing here. I play this one straight, get as many chips as possible without getting fancy, then move on to the next hand with my stack a little bigger. From what I see, after the t600 raise, only you and the button are going to be playing >10 BB when the blinds increase. That is a great spot to be in...gives you a lot of options to make choices with your hands, (relatively...yes I know, hero is still "short stacked" too), while a LOT of players are going to be going to shoved show down. Hopefully, you will be in a spot to get some of those chips too, either by pushing players around, or having them covered with a real hand. Either way, I like your EV from here.

I think its fine. In 6.50s villains will call you a lot.

Actually villain made a couple of mistakes, one was raising so much, 450 would be ok and not calling your shove getting 2.5 to 1. I would shove and expect a call as you're giving villain great odds to call.
