WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
Below are the tournament details for the Red River beginning on August 23rd (from the Winstar flyer.) They will be running 1-table Sats as tables fill (when I have been there it is generally one or two on weeknites, I don't go on weekends so not sure about then.) They will also be running Super Sats however the I am not sure what the schedule is at this time.
SATELLITE DETAILS BUY-in = $100 +$10 10 Players (so no juice on the SAT since the entry into the RRR is $1100 with the $100 juice) Starting chips = $1500 Blinds = 25/50 to start and advance every 20 minutes SUPER SATELLITE BUY-in = $50 +$5 with unlimited $50 rebuys ($1000 chips when below $1000) and one add-on $50 ($1000 chips). Starting chips = $1000 Blinds = 25/50 to start with first two levels 30 (rebuy period) and 20 minutes after that. Payouts = 1 for every $1100 in buy-ins, rebuys, and add-ons and any cash less than $1100 paid out to up to 4 people depending on the amount left over. RED ROUNDUP TOURNAMENT Max entries = 1000 Starts Noontime August 23rd with 3 first days (23rd, 24th, 25th) in the Show Place Theatre. Final Day = Noontime Sunday August 26th in the Theatre. STARTING CHIPS = $5000 BLINDS = 25/25 starting with levels 40 minutes long. |

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
Looks pretty good. The Satellite is going to be a bit of a push-fest, but with no "juice", it's still a good deal I think.
PS: I started a thread to ask people what a standard tip would be if you won one of the no-juice satellites. |

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
Last year they had satellites for this at the Riverwind in Norman (same tribe). I assume they will for this one as well. I was busy last year, so didn't try to sat. in, but I may try this year. I heard this tourney was well-run and had a decent structure.

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
There is an optional $10 dealer toke at the beginning for an extra 375 in chips.
have no idea why or how they came up with 375 |

have no idea why or how they came up with 375 [/ QUOTE ] I assume because it's 25% of the starting stack. |

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
thats as good as any I guess.... never seen an add on or optional toke like that. Usually it would be 500 or 1000 or even 1500 extra.
It really shows when the Marketing Dept heads are the ones making all the decisions without requesting or listening to any input from the Poker Room managers. |

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
I haven't really decided whether or not I should waste my time trying to satellite in or just buy-in. I guess I could give it a shot since it's just a $100 but I doubt I will.
When do they run the Super Satellite? |

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
Anyone have any more details on this? I'm thinking about heading up this weekend, and would like to try the satellite.
The sats are run like SnG's I take it? How often do they run on the weekends? |

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
I was up today (July 4th) and they ran three between 10am and 8pm. The place was packed for most of the day with over 20 1/2NL tables going. They ran their regular $60 freezeout also so that may have slowed down people playing in the SATs. On weekends you can expect them to run 2 or 3. They are SnG's so they fill when they have 10 players.

Re: WINSTAR Red River Roundup Sats & Tournament
Could someone post the entire structure of the ME for me. Is there anyone who played this last year who has any thoughts on the tourney?
