Wierd spot v. iRockhoes
Ok for some reason I can't find the hand in my PT database because I think it screws up when I go into the time bank but the hand went like this:
Full tilt NL 10/20 (6max) I have a bit over 2k and so does iRockhoes. I raise to 70 in MP with AKo and get called by the guy to the left of me and iRock who's on the button. flop is 664 rainbow, I lead for 185, player to my left folds and button calls. Turn is 4. I check, iRock bets 300 and I call hoping to put in a little bluff on the river. River is K, I check and iRock shoves for the rest of my chips... Comments on all streets appreciated.. is this just a "read dependant" situation??? |

[/ QUOTE ] explain this please? are you calling turn because you think you are best with A hi and therefore plan to c/c many rivers, or are you calling planning to donk out on a lot of rivers to fold out a mid pair? If it is the latter that seems really bad. |

Re: Wierd spot v. iRockhoes
What I meant was that if an T, J or Q came I would try to represent it, and if a 2, 3, 5, 7, came I would put in a value bet bluff to try to make it look like I have something like 99+ to try to get him to fold any pair (since if I actually DID have 99+ I would have followed the same line re: flop/turn)

Re: Wierd spot v. iRockhoes
I thought that if I was in Villian's position with 55-99 and the river came a 2 or 3 or whatever and the other guy leads out with like a 70% potbet after he c/c the turn I would have a hard time calling it down with my mid pair and wouldn't exactly feel comforable about shoving it either.
Simply put, if I had TT+ and expected to make any more money out of the hand I really don't want to CR the turn b/c only a better hand would call (or worse, a worser hand will shove) but would in fact donk the river because it puts the other guy in a tough spot. Personally I still believe that if the river blanked and I donked, I would have a good chance of folding a mid pair but hey that's just me. |
