Are these right or am I playing backwards loss-inducing poker?

Re: 200NL - Standard spots?
First hand seems ok.. pretty big reraise preflop, but ok.
Now the second hand is another story. Raising utg with 97s and then calling a shove with a 9 high flush draw is not standard. Am I missing something??????? |

Re: 200NL - Standard spots?
Hand 1 looks fine to me.
Hand 2 is a spew. Assuming your heart outs are good, you need 2-1 to call on the hand, and you aren't getting that. I'm assuming your 9 or 7 outs are not good. |

Re: 200NL - Standard spots?
Yeah...musta been flush tilting. I'm still tilting...God, just made a terrible all-in call down with JJ...geez, I look at their stats, and they're terrible...but I keep falling for the same tricks.

Re: 200NL - Standard spots?
Hand 1 is fine, you have the lead and fold equity here.
Hand 2, yuck. You come off as a flush chasing donk here |

[/ QUOTE ] 2-1? to call a shove with a flush draw? [/ QUOTE ] On the flop, yes. You're 2-1 to hit one of your 9 outs on the turn or river. I don't know exact percentages, but I think it's about 35% chance your flush comes in with 2 cards to come. |
