Another Strategy, AQo in MP

Same game as my other post, shortly after some aggression by me on some middling hands, so people aren't sure about my tight image any more.

It's folded to me in MP with AQo. I raise the 50c blind to $3.50. Insane T goes all-in $16. His range is very wide, and he loves any two broadway. However, he also doesn't re-raise me that often without something solid. V, on the cutoff, who calls with a wide range and tends to push with low pocket pairs, calls. Folded back to me.

What do I do?

According to PokerStove, you have about 1/3 equity with AQo against ranges of any pair, any broadway (for the all-in guy) and a slightly better range of any pair, suited broadway, AJo and KQo (the second guy). You're just below even money against the second guy's range as well. If the second guy is folding 77 and lower, you're slightly better than even money against him. If you have enough of a stack worth pushing, then push.

as to your hand, my reply to your other post is now in effect. Your metagame has taken a hit. After all you only have AQo and you've already put one of the others on PP. You can call but don't expect to be ahead PF. And if one guy has pp and the other is sharing an A or Q then you're in even worse shape. Depends on who has you covered and who is AI for the $16.

And you're exactly right, I knew there was a chance I was way behind, so I figured easy muck. I don't think side pot was worth it, but I don't remember. Turns out I was ahead, but would've lost regardless. Not that it matters.

Fold. At best you are a coinflip here. Do you want to flip coins or play poker? This isn't a tournament. It's a clear fold.

Check out SSNL. There are plenty of posts from B&M players and I'm sure from home game specialists also. Use the subject field to identify your post as a home game and you'll get better responses. It's a good forum.

your preflop bet of 3.50 into a .75 pot....is this normal? Maybe there were limpers, I dont think you mentioned that. Seems like a large raise...do you need that big of a raise in this game to limit the field (I know it is necassary sometimes)?

The only reason I bring it up is that it seems like alot invested into a little with no info from anybody else yet. Plus, you can play your hand on the other streets without risking as much of your stack.

Would love to hear your thoughts on above.

PF raise seems pretty big to me. Is that a standard raise in this game?

I fold AQ here, especially if this is the first time he's played back at you. It's really hard to guess what his range is, but It think you are behind a fair amount.

$3.50 raise is plenty normal for this game. It plays much bigger than the blinds and too big for the stacks.

10-4 on that, sounds pretty typical for home games. The only reason i brought it up is a lower raise might be able to keep the pot more reasonable and/or make your hand easier to get away from if you get played back at.

As far as whether it should be posted here, I like that some hands are posted...breaks up the monotony of what to buy, Kems or Copags...or whether so-and-so was cheating.

I have a game tomorrow night, i will try to remember to write down some hands and post them up if nobody objects.
