WSOP - weird arrangement
I just looked at their schedule and found this spot.
If I advance on day 1 of Event 1 Mixed hold'em, which they resume the play on the 2nd of June at 2PM. However, the event 3 starts on the 2nd of June at noon. How can someone who registers both make it if he survives at day 1 from Event 1? Has this issue been discussed? |

Ignore the above response.
If you preregister for an event and you are still playing in a previous event your buyin will be automatically refunded. Waiting until you bust from one tourney to register for the next would be a pretty big waste of time |

Should I pre-register or simply bring cash with me? Any advice. |

You need to get in line with the cashier and once they have some evidence you are still in event #1, they will allow you to unregister from #3 and refund your money. I'm lucky in that the cashiers know me and they will take my word. In other cases, you might need a note from or the physical presence of a floorman who will vouch for you. If you show up at 1:30pm to do this just prior to the start of your day 2 of event #1, you will be informed that it is too late to unregister from #3, and that your chips are already in play. Exactly this happened to several people last year who thought the unregistration was automatic. I never register for any event until the afternoon or evening before, other than the Main Event and event #1. I never know when I will want to take a break because I'm tired or whatever, and the only way you can unregister is if you are still in a previous event. Just changing your mind is NOT enough, and they will not allow you to unregister for such a reason. So, signing up for everything far in advance will save you some time, but could cost you a lot of money if you change your mind and don't want to play. Later, Greg Raymer (FossilMan) |

Re: WSOP - weird arrangement
I'm confused now! Wasn't there a message from Harrah's about possible seat scams?
They said there "...individuals who have pre-registered for WSOP events can receive a full refund of their payment if they are unable to participate, as long as they request the refund before the event starts." Is there a definition for "unable" somewere else? Otherwise I would assume everything that keeps you from playing (feeling ill etc.) would fill that definition. Thanks Shadow |

Re: WSOP - weird arrangement
Maybe I'm wrong with respect to this year. I know there were people last year and before who tried to withdraw for personal reasons, and were denied.
