Default How much are sports worth to you

Maybe a sports forum thread but if the 20 downs in the NFL thread works.

Anyway, how much would someone have to pay you so that you would never see another sport again? You couldn't watch them on tv could go to games couldn't read box scores couldn't read opinion columns. Sports would be cut out of your life completely. How much?

Just spectator or participating and does spectator count watching your kids play?

$10M at least. This would be far worse than poker.

Sex > Family > Sports > Everything else.

I'd have to be paid more to give up sports as a participant than as a spectator I think.

But not that much. I'd take $50k I think. Maybe less.

$1M, probably more. It's not just me watching, it's all the enjoyment of watching and talking about it with friends.

Also, I wouldn't negotiate a deal until Al Jefferson retires and #7 is hung up in the rafters.

250k. I like sports, but the value of a house will make me find new hobbies.

I think this is a dumb question. You can't really quantify the value of sports to you in a dollar amount. If I was to pull a figure out of my ass and say $1 million, wow - I'd buy a house and new car and whatever, then I'd be as bored as sh*t almost every day of the week.

I would go insane without sport.
