Fold to river Raise?
CO here is 37/6/.65 very passive, fishy. Button is 49/1.5/.47 SUPER fish(limping 27s etc).
5/10 6-max I raise UTG w/ A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]Q [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img], UTG1 folds, CO calls, Button calls, SB folds, BB fold. FLOP: 7 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]5 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]3 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] I bet, CO calls, Button calls. TURN: Q [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I bet, CO calls, Button calls. RIVER: J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] I bet, CO folds, Button raises, I fold. Who looks him up here, or who thinks c/c is a better river play? |

Re: Fold to river Raise?
don't c/c the river. you are missing too much value from all the smaller pairs that he checks behind.
i think you can fold to a passive villain here. i call river raises too much, and i think it's a leak |

[/ QUOTE ] Oh, I don't know. How often do you run into players who are as passive as Button these days? I ask in part because I've been unwinding with a little 0.5/1 after NL sessions lately, and I've been surprised by what a spew-fest it has been at times (at least at some of the tables I've been at), which really surprised me given the limit. |

Re: Fold to river Raise?
yea i doubt it as well. you can always call this and it wont matter much. by "this" i mean an in-position river raise on an overcard flush card in a 10 bet pot when you hold tptk and your kicker is the same suit as the flush.

Re: Fold to river Raise?
Calling against a villain this passive is probably an error, but not too big of one given the pot size. If you had more than TPTK, I think folding is a clear error, as even this guy probably says "WTF, two pairs! I has teh nutz! Raise..." here a reasonable amount.

[/ QUOTE ] You both are right, calling in this specific instance won't hurt us much. I was speaking more in general terms, always calling River raises from passive opponents will end up damaging your WR severely. This used to be my biggest leak. |
