SB v BB in bubble. Standard?
PokerStars No-Limit Hold'em Tourney, Big Blind is t200 (4 handed) Hand History converter Courtesy of PokerZion.com
saw flop|saw showdown Hero (t3310) BB (t3585) UTG (t4515) Button (t2090) Preflop: Hero is SB with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img], K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]. 2 folds, Hero raises to t3410, 1 fold. Final Pot: t3610 Villian is tight so I had been doing this pretty often. I decided to run this through SNGPT to see what gives and it looks like I may need to reconsider other options. Push hands: 88+,AJ+,KQs (7%) Villian is tighter player who will probably wait for 66+, ATo+. Should I wait for situations where I have BB covered? Thanks for any ideas. |

Against a tight player push ATC, especially if you have been "quiet" during this sng and have not got caught with junk.

Re: SB v BB in bubble. Standard?
i dunno, 200 is really not worth it, i raise here to maybe 600, definetely exploitable by good players but it seems to work quite frequently

Re: SB v BB in bubble. Standard?
Shoving is +EV if you really think he's calling 66,AT+. Raising is probably more +EV, shoving 17bb on the bubble when you're 3rd usually requires a very strong hand and then shoving means you lose a lot of value. Limp or raise if BB won't bully you too much, raising is better.
I get SB 89%, BB 7.8% for the NE (edge 0%). What did I do wrong? |

Re: SB v BB in bubble. Standard?
I'd make a standard raise here instead.

Re: SB v BB in bubble. Standard?
Thanks for the feedback. The big thing Im starting to understand is that I have to do something in this spot besides fold.
I have been reading up on bubble play here and on the web and Im trying to be a bit more aggro when the situation presents itself. In the past I would try to fold my way into the money. |

I also have NO problem with calling here and betting any flop.
