the worst managerial decisions s o far this year
I've seen some pretty terrible in game managing so far this year(Yankees bunting their best hitters nonstop, bringing Petitte in for no reason, I could go on), but the one that takes the take is the intentional walk of Jeff Kent with 2 outs in the 12th and Juan Pierre on first. It was to get to the Pitchers spot, and the Dodgers had PH available. I'm sure I've missed some truly terrible managing this year outside of this spot - what are some you have seen?

Re: the worst managerial decisions s o far this year
pinella has the option of pinch hitting soriano for cedeno/izturis and bringing whichever one wasn't in the game to pinch run for him. instead, he lets them bat, ph's for pie and then has the remaining guy pinchrun, leaving matt murton to play center in a tied game in the 10th. wtf.

Well done, bugstud. We'll have plenty of Pinella gems before the season is passed I'm sure. though his moving Soriano out of CF for Pie has to be encouraging, at least.

Marlin's manager Fredi Gonzalez intentionaly walking 2 for 38 Langerhans to load the bases.
Pete Orr, who is faster than Ryan too, came in to pinch-hit and scored two. |
