Default Rank the Final Four Coaches

Not factoring in recruting, just gameplans, strategy, adjustments, in-game whatever:

I could be way off. I think it's really close either way. Interested to hear others' thoughts.

1. Howland
2. Donovan
3. Thompson
4. Matta

You're an idiot if you think Howland is the worst coach of the four. You'll see today that Howland is definitely best, then donovan, then the other two.

1. I am entitled to my opinion.

2. I actually think Howland is the best, but was just trying to stir the pot a little because a third post in a row with the same order would have killed the thread even more than it already is.

i think matta may be the best. his team had completely quit in that tenn game. watch the end of the end of the first half. it was over.

somehow matta motivated them to come back in the second.

also, he substituation with odem in that game was brilliant down the stretch when he swapped him in on off and out on d until the last possession where odem made a the play of the game on d.

further, hes coaching a team of frosh to the final 4. hell of an accomplishment esp considering conley was supposed to be a scrub so either he was underrated or matte helped him develop a ton. id imagine its a little of both.

This is really hard w/out watching all 4 teams on a regular basis, which I doubt anybody does.
My sense is that they're all good w/ Matta probably not as good as the others. It should be noted that prior to last yr Donovan was basically considered Bill Self squared though.

idioticy like usual in this forum. all he did was lead of team to the final four and a fckn stellar record in the regular season.

also, check on his success at xavier. he built a small school program up to play with and beat the big boys.
