Default to move up or not?

I just moved and have found a new card room with very soft games. I was playing my regular 1-2 game which I am banked rolled about right for but I have noticed that the 2-4 game is just as soft. When I say soft it is commons to see a preflop raise and 6-10 to see the flop, and with out a raise it is almost always 8-10 to come in. I am a very tight player and know I can play 2-4, but should I go and play it now or wait till my roll is the right size?

At such low limits it can take forever to have the right size bankroll to move up. What you might want to do is take a shot at 2/4 for a few sessions. If it goes well, great, stay there. Otherwise, drop back down until you're ready to try again. Just make sure you're okay with the amount you'd lose if things go badly.

1-2 limit? 2-4 limit? What's your roll, $100?

I would think it's impossible for your bankroll to grow at all with the rake at 1-2. If it's as loose as you say, move up. If you run bad, move down of you have to, or just put more money in your roll. I know that's not usually good advice, but when we're talking like $200...

yes it is 1-2 and 2-4 limit, I have built up to 200BB or so roll, and as loose as the games are its common to see a 15-20+BB pot after rake, I think I am going to go and try the 2-4 for a few hrs, or wait till I am up a good amount then go try

Dude, quit playing poker for a while. Work a second job where even at minimum wage you will make more after taxes than at $2-4. Save up until you have $3K. Quit the second job and play $6-12 and up.
