I dont mind the limp actually, and the bet is also correct in my opinion (he didnt lead out by the way it was checked to him) but I think you have to muck the JT once you get raised b/c the bb isnt going to check min raise you w/ air, and thats basically all you can beat. I'd say its very likely he has a random 4 like 74, 54 etc. It would help if we knew how much he had tho.

I guess you are not leading out if you are in position, but I wouldn't bet pot with any hand on a J44 board.

JTo is a terrible hand to limp behind with. With JTs, the limp is standard.

I'm not sure if I am reading this correctly. You have position in this hand correct? (are last to act on the flop).

On flops like this, if I am checked to last to act on the flop, I am inclined to take a stab at it (even with three players two of which blinds) with absolutely nothing. But if I bet here, where you did, I would not bet t1000 into a t1200 pot. I think that is where you went wrong. I would bet t600-t800.

So...his min-raise means 1) He thinks you are FOS and wants to know with air. 2) He thinks you are FOS and wants to protect his pocket pair. 3) He has trip fours.

Given that he was in the blind, the likelihood of trip fours is probably higher than the pocket pair. Typically I would call the min-raise here. On the turn he is sure to let me know which of the three choices it is.

As I mentioned before, you bloated the pot with your bet. If you had bet 1/2-2/3 the pot, the villain's min-raise would be smaller (effectively costing you less for the same information).

All subsequent betting would be smaller as well. As played, you have placed yourself in a situation where if you continue, you might have to play for your stack.

Resolution: Bet smaller when checked to on this flop (bet as if you are taking a stab with nothing to pick it up cheap).
