1/2 plo, top set straight redraw but.....
...is this a fold? Villain in this hand would pot any flushdraw here as well as any A2, and like most villains on stars, assumes I have AA when I raise.

uhhhhhhh, you got odds to call even if he does have the straight. Call and pray, the end.

Worst case you are 40/60ish; you have to call here.

Re: 1/2 plo, top set straight redraw but.....
sidenote, you just called a reraise preflop, i for one would not put you on AA

OK probably being too results oriented here then, I got it all in and unimproved top set no good.

Re: 1/2 plo, top set straight redraw but.....
Yeah, when you button raise and call a reraise, I really doubt villian's putting you on aces. You could mentally increase the chance that he has aces however, making something like AA2x more likely, and potentially opening up a lot of extra outs for you. This fact would probably be enough for me to push even if I had an extra $100 or so behind. Given stack sizes, this is an easy call. In order to get it in bad, you'd have to be against something ridiculous like 7c6c3x3x.
As a beginning player, I'd recommend that you regularly check an odds calculator like the one on CardPlayer when you play a big hand like this and aren't sure if you had the right odds to call. You can just enter your hand, villian's hand, and the flop, and see if you got it in good or bad. Obviously, there are more complicated situations based on ranges, etc., but for basic questions like this, it can be very helpful, and it will increase your understanding of the game. |

What about the call PF?
You are calling $20 with $26 in the pot. Do you think this is right with this hand? Jonathan |

Re: 1/2 plo, top set straight redraw but.....
Or he's calling 14 with 32 in the pot?
