Possibly interesting KK ULT 200k gaur
Hand has kinda been rolling in my mind a lil. Blinds are 300/600 and there are 180ppl remaining 90 get paid. Ive been playing a pretty aggressive game, raising at least one or twice an orbit.
Hand: KK UTG I make it 1800 folds to to Button who calls. Flop: QQ2 rainbow. Pot(4600 ish) I check. Villan bets 3200, I call. Turn 5. I check, Villan bets 7200 Hero? I was trying to get worse hands involved in the hand with me but with this turn bet how often is this a bluff? Thanks for any advice. |

Re: Possibly interesting KK ULT 200k gaur
I would have pushed the flop, rather than checked. Or then reraised his 3200. Check makes Villain think you have nothing, and your call forces him to stay and try to buy the pot, where the reraise gives him an out, and you may not have to face a showdown.
Of course that could just be my overwhelming fear of losing, yet again, to the river... |

[/ QUOTE ] This is truly awful advice. You are advising that OP BLAST out any hand he can beat and only get called by hands that beat him. You WANT the button think he can buy it. If he hits a rogue ace on the river, so be it...play to win, don't play scared. Scared money is dead money. |

Re: Possibly interesting KK ULT 200k gaur
interesting hand. i dont mind the flop check at all. i think that because of it though i probably end up going broke here. id call, and check call a river shove just because our hand is so underepped. Its very easy for the villain to be attempting to push us off what he views as a medium PP.
My default line is bet flop, check turn, bet river here to try and maximize value from a med. PP. If i deviated from that line and played it this way its specifically because i thought villain might get aggro trying to blow me off something, so then getting this action is getting what you wanted. |

And if villain raises the flop or bets the turn?

By your own admission you make anything that you beat fold and anything that beats you continue with the hand. This is really bad. I like the heros line here. It sucks to stack off on a paired board but check-calling gets the most money in from hands that are behind you and it keeps your hand underrepped meaning that you have to keep calling. Interesting hand. |

Re: Possibly interesting KK ULT 200k gaur
we have 5K behind on the turn if we call so I probably check/shove here, JJ isn't folding.
