Default FTP $60 - FMTT, AKs lol bubble-aments

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Tournament
Blinds: t100/t200
4 players
BB - t2100
SB - t4760
BU - t3420
CO - t3220

Pre-flop: (4 players) Hero is BB with A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG raises to t400, Button folds, SB raises all-in t4760.

Unfortunately I wasnt paying attention to the table and didnt have any reads...so dont ask me for them.

How do you think the hand changes if UTG had raised to 600 instead?

With absolutely no other information to go on I call and hope to triple up -- but I do think the answer to this question is read-dependent. If the jammer is very tight you probably have a fold in light of the overbet, but in most cases I think you can call and take a shot at tripling up.

If he'd raised to 600 I'm not sure it would've changed things much regardless -- the raise to 4760 is still a pretty significant overbet.

I would definitely call. CO's raise doesn't mean much to me being readless, and SB is the big stack who can be pushing a range that AKs is definitely ahead of, maybe way ahead of. Plus, you are the short stack.

in general i think a minraise in this spot is a weak steal attempt, sb could be reraising pretty wide, i think i'd need a read to fold here.

This doesn't interest me in the least as this is clearly the worst outcome. This hand is tough b/c you want UTG to call if you fold and fold if you call. It is tough to say what you should do if the SB is loose but I'd probably go with the AK if I felt like I had him by the balls.

The extra t400 is worth about 3% to you but the chance of them tangling is worth anywhere from 4-5%. If you weigh the risk/reward you will probably find that gambling will be +EV. You probably have to have about 54% equity or so to call the push (if you know that the other guy will never call or overcall). Obviously fold if you don't think you have that much equity. If it is close and you think the other dude might call then fold but otherwise I would go with the AK.
