Hair styles
How long have you had your current hair style?
I had the same basic cut (short and spikey) for 9 or so years. Then about 9 months ago I decided to stop getting my hair cut cause I wanted it longer. It looks like ass now so I need to get it cut, but I don't know what style I want. I'm thinking maybe like Sawyer from Lost or Dick from Veronica Mars. |

Ok, maybe if I add a poll I can get some opinions.

Re: Hair styles
Don't try to look like a celebrity. Go to a good hair dresser (female, not gay male) and ask her what she thinks would look good on you.

Too many chicks don't know anything else other than their boyfriend's/brother's buzzcut and goatee. Nor do they usually take into consideration one's lifestyle, attitude and overall image. Guys tend to better understand other guy's goals in relation to the look that they are trying to achieve. I've had the Sawyer cut and scruff for many years and it is pretty limiting. One has to be very lean, preferrably tan and definitely attired properly (pretty much only leather jacket, t-shirt and jeans) to pull it off. Since my lifestyle doesn't contain any dress-code this suits me just fine. When I'm pasty-white and out of shape, though- ugh. The second look is ultimately more versatile. You can do preppy, business and rock-n-roll. Heavier guys, that don't boast a clean jawline and good tan, can usually get away with that type of cut without looking like white-trash. One can be either the hip club-kid or the trendy-yet-mussed computer geek. Be careful when letting someone cut your hair. If it is at all thin do not let them cut it with a razor. I made the mistake of allowing some stupid c*nt to do that last June. Totally [censored] it up. Had to get it cut short and start over it looked so thin. Also, getting your hair to and keeping it at approximately one-length, complimented with longer sideburns, will mitigate against any potential "mullett" jopkes. |

Re: Hair styles
I've had the same hairstyle for about 12 years. Shaved. I'm lazy and cheap and it's low maintenance and low cost(clippers+electricity). A match made in heaven.

If this doesn't do it nothing will. Best of luck!

Re: Hair styles
It would be a really good idea to go to a good hairdresser.
good = recommended by a couple of people with a nice hairstyle that suits them and a price of something like 50$-60$. It would probably be a good idea to mention to them that you have long hair, and would like them to help your hairstyle (so they make someone who are good at doing that cut your hair). |
