TT checkraised on the turn
Fourth hand at the table, no reads. My W2SD is disgustingly high at the moment. I've got a feeling that this may be a good example. (for some reason the neidlewurst converter spat it out as 0.5-1 pot limit holdem)
Absolute Poker Limit Holdem Blinds: $1-$2 6 players Converter Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is UTG+1 with T[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] T[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] UTG folds, Hero raises to $2, CO calls, Button folds, SB calls, BB calls. Re: TT checkraised on the turn
Looks fine to me. Turn raise could easily be a semibluff, bluff, or worse hand. Unless you have a read that the guy is straight up ABC then I call it down.

Re: TT checkraised on the turn
Until I've got a read this is a turn fold for me. You raised from the HJ, an Ace is a very likely holding for you. I would not be surprised if CO had a fairly strong Ace or 2pair Ax hand here. As a default play I think calling here is a losing play.

Re: TT checkraised on the turn
Do you regularly play Absolute $1/$2. A big advantage playing a "regular game" is you kinda have defaults in your mind. Like in this spot, a typical player would c/r here with _________.
And while you're calling 2 into 17 on the turn, you're really calling 4 into 19. (well also % of time you river a set & %time he has a straight) A lot of people are saying "without a read, fold" If that's how the game plays then you should do it. |
