Good business school to go to?
Well I just started senior year and want to know some good business school in the northeast.
Backround: my gpa now is a 88, ill try and get it to a 90 by the end of the semester. Sat scores combine add up to 1455. Im in some clubs(not much though)2 or 3. I was actually wondering about goin to a state college for 2 years and get a really high gpa and then transfer to a ivy legue college. Is this a good idea? Any advice is welcomed. Ty |

Re: Good business school to go to?
Where are you from?
I can't imagine its easy to transfer from most state schools into an ivy league school, or have all of the credits transfer over. If you want to graduate from an ivy league school I would start there. I would go for a state school or an ivy league if you get accepted, anything in between seems like a ton of money without a substantially better return than a state school. |

You're a senior in high school? Business school is a long ways off, son. 4 years of school + years of work experience

Re: Good business school to go to?
Well the only reason i was thinking of transfering was the first 2 years in any school are basically the same so if i did good in umass i could then transfer into a pretty good business school. Plus here in masachusetts theres plenty of good business schools.

Re: Good business school to go to?
WHARTON
besides that...they're all the same. do a google search on an economic article that showed the better or more reputable a school is doesn't necessarily mean higher earnings for the student. Students who got into Penn and ended up going to Penn State usually end up in the same place. Another words, not really a big deal unless you're into a brand name. |

Re: Good business school to go to?
Judging by your posts in this thread I'm thinking you should prioritize your English over business at this point.

Re: Good business school to go to?
umass amherst has by far the best business program among these state schools. The Isenberg School is excellent, but I believe you have to take a certain number of credits and maintain a certain GPA until you are allowed into it.
