PS2 and computer
I just got a ps2 and it has the 3 RCA input cord with the red white and yellow. I was wondering if there was some way I could hook it up to my computer and play the sounds of my ps2 out on my computer speakers. Like is there a way to combine the red and white into one audio input i could plug into my computer?
Or is there a way to change the red and white into the other plugs that could fit into the computer, because when I try to plug these in right now they are really loose and don't fit |

Re: PS2 and computer
Where are you wanting to display the picture?? You can't split the RCA cable or anything like that. i'm confused as to why you only want the sound out of your cumputer speakers. You must have some awesome PC speakers.

Re: PS2 and computer
You can go to RadioShack and get an adapter from RCA to phono. That'll let you plug directly into the computer speakers. (This has nothing to do with plugging it into the computer.)
For example: or -Sam |

Re: PS2 and computer
Oh ok. I was confused for some reason. I thought you wanted to only have sound from the PS2. If you want sound AND video on your Pc there are tons of options. Just Google PS2 VGA adaptor. Then do what SAM said for your audio. Here's an example of one:

Re: PS2 and computer
Yeah well you should only need an RCA adapter and you'll be good to go. What I'm confused with is how are you going to "reach" your sound card to input the audio? If you are pluggin the RCA or s video cable from your PS2 into the back of the monitor, how are you going to reach the sound card on the back of your PC? This is easily accomplished with a long RCA audio adapter, but I can't remember if they make long ones.
