Munich - the movie

I just finished watching the movie Munich. I had been looking forward to seeing this movie for a long time. I missed it at the theater and it took longer than usual to hit the rental market.

I was a bit disappointed. Well , first of all I had seen the TV movie “Sword of Gideon” with Steve Bauer a while back. That was a good TV movie. I hadn’t realized that Munich is (basically) the same story. I was expecting more.

Good movie, but now I understand why it didn’t get the Oscar.

To the movie buffs: was this the consensus here back when the Oscar threads were going on?
