Re: No more P2P at Neteller for US-customers
Wow... insane. At least I was able to help people get some of their money off of there while it was possible...
If any of my funds were stuck there I'd be [censored] freaking out right now. Which would likely include me repeatedly swearing at them over the phone while drunk. |

[ QUOTE ] Let me spell this out. YOU ARE AN IDIOT WHO DOES NOT KNOW WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT. They are regulated by the FSA, which REQUIRES them to keep deposited funds available. Do you actually think a regulatory agency such as this doesn't check on that? Regularly? [/ QUOTE ] Oh god, you people are SO STUPID! It is so frustrating. You have never heard of an accounting scandal you [censored]??? [/ QUOTE ] Have you even taken a look at their financials? http://investors.neteller.com/netell...AL11sep062.pdf If you can read a set of financials you will know that there is no reason to be concerned that they don't have the cash or are going to file bankruptcy. Getting the cash to you in a manner that our government will allow is another matter. And what reason do you have to scream accounting scandal? I see no reason and bet that you can't come up with one truly valid reason. And you speak of liquidity problems. Please tell me one investment that qualifies as a cash or cash equivalent that is not liquid within hours? In other words, STFU when you have no clue what you are talking about. |

Re: No more P2P at Neteller for US-customers
I would not doubt that the reason for the P2P shutdown has to do with the US Feds. My guess ( and this is only an educated guess at this point) is that the DOJ has ordered Neteller to hold all funds associated with US customers.
I would bet that this will be the case until a suitable payment method can be worked out between the DOJ and Neteller that will allow tracing money to specific individuals. This would be not unlike 1099b forms that you recieve from bokerage firms. I could forsee a stop being placed until Neteller is capable of issuing a 1099 for tax purposes for each individual US account holder. |

Re: No more P2P at Neteller for US-customers
I have a significant amount of money (well to me, it's all relative) still stuck in Neteller by waiting it out.
Looks like I have no other choice now. |

If they could blame it on the DOJ they would in a heart beat. |

Re: No more P2P at Neteller for US-customers
Anyone else from the US log in to their Neteller account tonight and notice that their status is "uncertified"? It's as if my bank account info is either no longer linked to my Neteller account or has been deleted from their system entirely.
I'm sure it's no accident, but I can't figure out what to make it. |
