Is Lugo the guy with TB? If he is, I'm not impressed with him at all. But just going by the times I've seen him vs the Sox.

[/ QUOTE ]

impressed in what aspect? hitting or fielding?

and pokey reese is one of the best defensive players of the last century, so it was probably by a bit more than 'a little'.

Not impressed with Lugo's offense or defense but as I said before just going by the games vs the Sox.

As for Pokey, I thought he was pretty slick but i think you're overstating a bit there.

BTW

2003-2005

julio lugo has a .371 OPB vs boston
.438 SLG%
.308 AVG
9 steals
2 CS
185 AB's
12 2B
3 3B
2 HR's

lets remember that two of those years had pedro on the team and one year pedro AND schilling.

you must have missed the good at-bats.

Yeah I don't know what Toro is talking about, Lugo plays pretty well against us (as does everybody else on TB it seems like )

I didn't realize Reese was THAT good. That's kinda sick.

Good link sublime, thanks.

While watching Wayne Cage, a hulking 6-4, 205-pound first baseman for the Cleveland Indians in 1970s, take infield practice before a game at Yankee Stadium one day, Graig Nettles deadpanned: "He's the only player in history to wear his home address on his back."

As much as I'd like to call Nettles a d-bag for that statement, I think I can admit (and many others won't) that if one of my friends made this joke while watching a game, I would laugh for maybe 5 hours.

Toro you are incredibly biased, please try to stop that.

I would think that if the Sox front office sign a horrible hitting SS, he must be a great fielder.
