Did anybody in this thread EVER say that betting was "horrible" or "a disaster?"

While I don't mind the check here, my problem with it is that I don't really know what hands we're trying to let catch up. You think somebody is going to pay off when they spike a pair of 8s?

Obviously, a K will be more likely to give us action, but it may very well give us that action on the flop, as well (we did bet when checked to in pos). Not to mention one or both players could easily have gutshots to broadway.

We may very well induce bluffs, though, which is nice, but I doubt we get more than one barrel often at all, and we might fold the best hand, sometimes.

Furthermore we rarely get check/raised here, and when we do, I think we end up looking at a draw that we crush more often than people are giving credit for.

Not to mention metagame.
