Just started playing after the semester ended a week ago.

I'm playing on USEast Hardcore Ladder.

I got up to 77 a couple days ago, died, and now I'm back to 63. Really fun playing this game again. If people are interested in actually playing semi-seriously, get on d2jsp.org forums for trading. You can sell/buy items for "forum gold" which acts a currency across all the realms. For those that want to get a quick start, you can buy forum gold from the guy that runs the site and then trade it for good items. Without this site I've found it really hard to find trades, as there is no real viable currency ingame.

Is there any desire for a USEast HC Ladder group? It is a load of fun, a challenge, and a way to play the game without worrying about PKers. If you don't know what I'm talking about, here is a gist of what it is:

1) Get 7 people, each person will be a different character.

2) Play the game for a certain time, with minimum of 5 characters playing. If it is not the whole group playing, you must NOT get too far ahead.

3)You do NOT transfer items into those characters. We play with what we find in the game.

4) If we find an item that most if not all characters can use, we decide who will get it based on the needs of that character/the group.

5) If you die, you can not remake a character to stay in the group. The only exception is if you die within the first 2 acts of normal difficulty. Once we hit Act3, you are gone if you die.


Theres some more things, but thats basically how it goes. If we did get enough people to do this, I was looking at late Saturday nights (starting at 11:30, 12ish EST?) and playing for an hour or 2. Either respond in this thread or PM me if you would do this.

damn I just created a USEAST HC non ladder char abotu a weak ago......got the sorc up to 66 already.......Im down forthe HC ladder clan idea and I call the NECRO!

I forgot to say one thing, which is kind of major. Only a max of 2 cookie cutter builds. We don't want a smiter, summon necro, meteorb sorc, trapsin, etc etc all running around. So we limit them, and have fun with it.

(FWIW, I'm making a javazon using pure lightning. You can say its somewhat cookie cutterish, but if I don't get decent javalins it could be a build that wouldn't be the strongest. )

I'm gonna take an early guess and say the sorc will be one of our cookie cutter builds, and either the necro or assassin. I'm hoping the pally won't wanna make a smiter, possibly a zealer?

I wouldn't mind playing a barb or sorc. I've never played hardcore.

If someone wants to switch and take necro I can take the barb for sure......Ive always loved making barbs that specialized in shouts.

as far as traffic goes....

there is good traffic on hardcore ladder
very little traffic on hardcore non-ladder
