Re: Tribute to Intellivision
tuq- the human-sized scorpions used magic weapons, which means they were throwing fireballs and lighting bolts. WTF? The dwarves did the same thing, although they had a spear and shield. Makes no sense.
I downloaded a sim program to my old roommate's laptop (off of dial-up) like seven years ago. I played Treasure of Tarmin for about six months straight while watching baseball on television. Awesome. Plus, I still think there is some victory in slaying the Minotaur with one fell swoop, leaving behind the Treasure of Tarmin and going through all 256 levels. Of course, that's the fifth grader in me idolizing my cousin. Now, I still need to check out Utopia. . . |

Re: Tribute to Intellivision
Did anyone besides me play Pitfall just so you can reach that magical point total then take a pic of the screen with a polaroid. You'd then send the pic into activision and they would send you a patch. I still have that patch somewhere.
Or how many Intellivision owners would spring for that "joystick" add-on that slipped onto the disc only to realize it sucked. Plus the shortstop was the fastest player on the field and it was impossible to defend against the "hit and run" when you could go opposite field every time. I think i won 124 games in a row against all my neighbors. |
