Pig,
I've seen a 1991 LS400 which had 150k+ miles and looked brand new. I've seen the same from 1970s Mercedes that namely the SL500s which were diesel engines but mantainence is more expensive on German cars than Japanese and an important consideration. |

Jurollo,
How'd it go? The Acura TSX has less power than the TL, but is still real nice. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Go with the Mercedes, it is the nicest of the bunch and will stay that way the longest. [/ QUOTE ] Uhh, why? Also, those Japanese cars if they were well cared for will last many years. Find a trustworthy mechanic, this helped me dig through motorcycles and find errors an untrained eye would experience down the road to the tune of expensive repairs. [/ QUOTE ] Why? Because the quality of materials in a Mercedes is much higher. Find a 1995 Mercedes and a 1995 Lexus with 150k miles and compare them and you'll see what I mean. [/ QUOTE ] Except for the fact that this goes against everything I've ever heard from mechanics, consumer reports type materials, extended warranty companies, and pretty much every experience I've had with these types of cars. I agree. |

The E-Class looks like something a soccer mom would drive. It's not that fast, or sporty, and your in your early 20's like me. [/ QUOTE ] Depends on which E. The V8 version (E430) is pretty fast, though I guess it's still not "sporty." |

the newer V6 E350 is actually faster than the E430 cuz the gearing is so much better (7 spds vs. 5).
P.S. OP. ES = camry. not balla. |

G35x for sure, I love mine (2006). The Acura TL is front wheel drive... barf. The G35 is much more reliable than the Mercedes and sportier than the Lexus.
With the G35 you get all wheel drive and the most horse power. |

With the G35 you get all wheel drive and the most horse power. [/ QUOTE ] All-wheel drive is not a benefit unless you drive in the snow. It's a Band-Aid on front wheel drive Audis to get them to handle halfway decent. The standard G35 is rear wheel drive and doesn't need the help. All-wheel drive adds weight, reduces mileage because there's an extra differential and two more drive axles, and makes it handle clunkier than the rear wheel drive. |
