Re: Set facing river checkraise
Do average players think like that? "I have the As, he can't have nuts, he's good and doesn't know who I am and thus will fold anything cause I know he doesn't have the nuts."
Right. Look into his soul and decide. Since this is online, go with your first gut instinct. Devo |

Re: Set facing river checkraise

Check-jam? Just about never. [/ QUOTE ] When playing Omaha and I have a PSB left on the river when I have the card that keeps my opponent from having the nuts, check/jamming is not rare, but it way tougher in Omaha to call that bet due to the nuts often being out there. Maybe the villain plays Omaha. Its stupid to put the villain on on specific hand, but I can see A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] Qx playing this way. |

Re: Set facing river checkraise
Why not check/call for value with that hand? Or bet/fold for value? I dunno...

Sometimes you get called, but its a profitable play. Many players have more than just NLHE Tourney experience. Regards, Woodguy |

Why not check/call for value with that hand? [/ QUOTE ] I think a worse hand doesn't bet for value often enough. edit: I think a lot of hands everyone puts the villain on in this thread often just check/call. [ QUOTE ] Or bet/fold for value? [/ QUOTE ] That probably makes more sense, but still discountable. |
