exactly if not, you really shouldn't be at the same table

[/ QUOTE ]

I really prefer not to be. But most of the games we play in only have one available table for the stakes we play. Our weekly homegame usually has one table. When a second opens I sit wherever he is not, unless there is an urgent reason not to. And the casino we play at only has 1 5-5 table running. But your solution would probably be not to play at all, and you would probably be right.

I'm so glad I dont have nitty friends like this

I'll bet splitting up the bill at a restaurant becomes an exceptional situation as well

[/ QUOTE ]

Seriously, if you knew me you would know am the unnittiest person with money ever. There is a reason he owes me $4,5k, as do a couple of other friends. Also, when my friends don't have any money I always pay for food or tickets for whatever and think it's only fair I should. They do the same for me. Like I said in the beginning, it's not about the money, it's about the principal.

Consequently, we have never EVER had a problem or even issue with splitting bills when both have money. Usually either one pays it all and the other just reciprocates another time, or we split it in half no matter what each of us actually had (this is standard with any of my friends).

1. what would you have done on a jack high flop?
2. Lets say you check it down and win, do you ship him the pot?

[/ QUOTE ]

We would have checked it down. I would have given him the pot (minus my $200) if his hand was still good at showdown versus villain, and would given him only his $200 if he would have lost anyway. I would have insisted on him taking it.

[/ QUOTE ]

you briefly mentioned ethics earlier but im surprised people havent brought up the blatant collusion going on in your thinking. youre playing two hands against one of villain's and splitting the proceeds. highly unethical.

Arito,

You shouldn't play in the same games as your friend.

very true. if i were the all-in guy and i saw you check down a set against an overpair i would be livid.

and you should definitely not take the money back. just scratch off $200 from the post-it where you keep track of his debt.
