Re: 200NL- T9s gets shoved on for 200bbs on 929 flop
so you think he's doing it with draws/pp here? I dont think it's a move enough to make a call good.
the concept of implied tilt odds (even though its mostly a joke) for me is huge in these marginal spots for 200bb+ stacks, i'd rather muck and put a note down for next time. the timing tell is innacurate, he could have had other tables pop up, talked to a roomate, aim window popped up, whatever. without a read/something this is more and more of a fold esp with 1.2 flop af |

[ QUOTE ]
You beat nothing, fold. [/ QUOTE ] this is wrong, he could reasonably have 98, 97 that said i dont think you beat a reasonable range, i put in a few draws, 22, 9x and came up with ~40% |

I'd fold without much worry here. Your read is nothing interesting/unusual about him, if he's routinely making massive overbet shoves you'd notice.

Re: 200NL- T9s gets shoved on for 200bbs on 929 flop
21 is tightish for 6-handed, so what is he flat calling a 4x raise while first to act? 22, AhXh or A9? With such a big overbet the heart draw doesn't seem likely with such a low AF. In the same spot I'd guess the villan either has an overpair or a 9 and a better kicker. Without any sense of villan's range it's a fold because of the bet size.

Re: 200NL- T9s gets shoved on for 200bbs on 929 flop
Did you just blindly raise this on the flop? If you aren't willing to felt this on the flop then don't raise. I really don't like felting this hand because I am outkicked or boated when it happens. Therefore, with deeper stacks I would just call the flop. It looks like a PP if you flat call and you've disguised your hand. By raising you will only get action from hands that beat KK/AA (which means that T9 is no good most of the time).
It seems weak to call because we want to make flush draws pay, but how often is this guy leading a flush draw into 2 players on this flop in a raised pot? More often than not it is a PP or TT/JJ which are drawing very thin. If we were shorter than obviously we want to get it AI. As played, fold. |
