Re: flopped top2, bad turn 200bb deep 5/10
i think c/f turn or bet/fold turn, check/fold river are all fine lines. another good line is to go to barcelona and play the hand from there.

Re: flopped top2, bad turn 200bb deep 5/10
I usually c/c here but I dunno if that's optimal or not. It just sucks ass to bet and get raised on this board, and I think he bets the turn more than some of you think. If I have AK I'm probably betting the turn against Luego and folding to a shove. Anyways, if you bet and he calls, it's going to be tough to get paid off by worse on the river also.
Not that it's correct, but this is a spot where I think checking the turn makes the hand easier to play and I can make better decisions because of it. IMO checking the turn minimizes risk and we don't lose a lot of value from worse hands this way either, unless you think you can pretty confidently bet the turn and shove the river with AJ here and get looked up by worse. |

Re: flopped top2, bad turn 200bb deep 5/10
vish,
but u said the turn frequently gets checked through? i mean how is a confusing line inherently bad? by "i think every line that begins with a turn check leads to me getting exploited pretty hard somewhere", do u mean that u think villain will often bet turn and shove river as a bluff cause my line looks weak? i dont that will happen very often at all... |

i think c/f turn is prob best. [/ QUOTE ] he still has top 2. guy could bet/fold any A, any draw, hands he floated with, QJ, whatever. you're seriously willing to just give up the hand after all the guy did was call a c/r in position with deep stacks? |

Re: flopped top2, bad turn 200bb deep 5/10
oh i actually misread the hand, i thought villain c/red.
yah i guess in this case we prob have to b/f, although i still dont think c/f is that bad if when he bets he's polarized. |

Re: flopped top2, bad turn 200bb deep 5/10
b/f is my preference. However i dont think this is a c/f at all. He could def put us on a draw (The T sucks as a card to double barrel on). if we're checking we're calling. Maybe more of a c/c if we hold Ac?

Re: flopped top2, bad turn 200bb deep 5/10
i seriously dont see what b/f accomplishes, apart from making the hand easier to play and that's nothing short of a cop-out.
in hindsight i def prefer c/c turn, c/f river - i doubt hes potting turn, shoving river very often at all as a bluff. |
