He's got top pair just bet a little less than pot -- hes shoving a rareish a5 100% and I don't think he checks a flush on the turn too often when you check to him

I would prefer a bet of around 400ish. Based on table dynamics, reads etc. I could see myself doing this on the river from time to time. seems alright.

You overbet shove the river more than any other (winning) player I've played against, I don't doubt that it results in some curious (or snap) calls fairly often. However, I think you'd get a lot more value out of a ~3/4 pot river bet in this situation, the overbet looks a lot like a boat.

The results aren't super relative, because I see a lot of donks play AT and a flush draw similarly. I also see donks that love to put in action when they have the draw then "sneakily" check behind their flush when they turn it. I guess it's just a question of how often does he have Ax, how often does he have a flush, and will he fold the flush. Is villain even an LP donk? Or just a passive regular? If it's the second, there's no way I shove 2x PSB.

maybe fake blocking bet instead, to get him to shove most of his range (or at least guarantee SOME value). i mean yea he's got a big hand probably, but i think he might could fold flushes since you are fairly obviously showing boat in this spot.
