Re: Does Posada end up in the Hall?
the only problem is with posada is that he's played in an era with piazza pudge vmart and mauer, for starters. Can often make a case that he's a mcgriff/palmeiro case of never really being the best in the league, but always top 5 and better than x% of hall guys, so should he get in?

Re: Does Posada end up in the Hall?
Except you can make a case that he's better than all of them except for Piazza.

[ QUOTE ] Posada's been one of the best hitting catchers every year since 2000. [/ QUOTE ] Hallworthy? [/ QUOTE ] Maybe not, but he's definitely had many "great" seasons. |

Re: Does Posada end up in the Hall?
It's not even worth my time arguing. Google OBP or something I guess.

^^lol...
no, he's going to be overshadowed by his own team and other catchers in his generation... |

Re: Does Posada end up in the Hall?
Another thought is Posada started his career as an infielder, so there is less wear and tear on his legs, he could play another 5 years.

Re: Does Posada end up in the Hall?
Just thought I'd add that Pudge is like the most overrated player ever. He has a career league average OBP, and 112 career OPS+.
He played in a huge hitters park and on awesome teams, that's why his stats looked so good. His 1999 MVP was the biggest joke ever. |
