Girls have these things called "feelings" that they pay a lot of attention to. Guys have "feelings" too, but they don't mean as much to us in this case.

If she doesn't feel attracted to you, she doesn't want to date you. What makes her attracted to you is these "feelings" that you create in her.

So you get put in the friend zone because she has some affection for you, but she doesn't have a desire to get closer to you or have a sexual relationship with you.

Stop trying to logically figure out why women do what they do or feel what they feel.

Breaking out of the friend zone is extremely difficult, but not impossible. I know because I have done it.

The Friends Zone is like purgatory. With a lot of time and prayer, you've got a small chance of reaching heaven.

I've done it too. It was so not worth it.

Meh, its much harder to go from the non-friend zone, back to being friends with the chick than vice versa. Its really not all that tough imo, to "break out" of the friend zone.

I always hear about the dangers of slipping into the "friend zone" when you first meet a girl and start to spend time with her. What's up with that? I mean, I don't care if I've been friends with a girl for 10 years, if I think she's hot and obviously we can stand being around each other, why are they creating this artificial obstacle?

[/ QUOTE ]
Didn't read other responses so here I go:

If you have know a girl for 10 years and haven't gotten with her already you are almost never gonna get into her pants at that point. Congrats, you're in the friend zone and it isn't very easy to get out of.

[ QUOTE ]
I do understand the feeling like "well we always hang out together, you're friends with my friends, I'm friends with your friends, how the heck would this work out if we had a messy breakup

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't care what anybody tells you, if a girl says she doesn't want to ruin the friendship 90% of the time it is just an easy way to shoot a guy down without hurting his feelings enough for the guy to just stop being friends with her so she can continue to exploit the situation. It is honestly as simple as that. I used to get the "We're too good of friends" excuse all the time, but now I make my intentions clear very early after meeting her. Now if I get it I exclude that girl from my life unless she is willing to take our friendship to the next level.

BTW I wouldn't hang aroung with a girl I want to get with unless I am moving her to that point or using her to get other women. Girls decide very early after meeting a man if they would sleep with them or not, get her answer and either get in or get out.
