[ QUOTE ] I've seen a bear a few times. [/ QUOTE ] What HAVE you done with Apathy anyway? We miss him. Also, I'm not nearly as aggressive/loose on the bubble as I think I should be. How do I break my "outplay them postflop" syndrome? Slacker [/ QUOTE ] 99% of people say they'll outplay people postflop to justify pf leaks. Take that fwiw. |

why does pudge hate me so much ? [/ QUOTE ] word. I honestly dont dislike many people on here. Yet, pudge and eagles (especially pudgy) annoy the hell out of me and give me a massive head ache. With that said.... 1. Most memorable cash/tournament hand ever played? 2. What primary thing(s) does a sng player (like myself) need to be succesful in the transition to cash? 3. What was hardest cash transition for you to make? (I.E. jump from .5/.10nl to .10/.25 ) 4. What was hardest sng transition for you to make? 5. Best poker advice/slogan/whatever you have heard? |

why does pudge hate me so much ? [/ QUOTE ] He doesn't hate you that much but you make stupid posts a lot often when drunk. The thing is you aren't that bad a poster but every once in a while you just make a gawdawful post that gives you enemies. Although I don't know why anyone would care about having internet enemies. |

Re: The Well: Eagles
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] pca trip report? [/ QUOTE ] At the airport I saw someone I went to highschool with and he told me he won a seat. On an unrelated note he's really bad at poker. Pudge played a few sngs with him one where he got AIPF with AJ in level 1. We get on the plane, sitting next to my parents is some guy who was playing in the moneymaker millionare. My parents were confused about why I didn't play in it when I could be guaranteed 50k and win a million. I tried explaining that the time it would take was way less than my hourly but they just didn't get it. [/ QUOTE ] An addition to this anecdote on the plane ride there was some random guy who was ranked low on the p5's leaderboard and this guy was riding his nuts on the plane ride. Later we tried to get him to go up to Raptor and ask for his autograph, but he didn't because he was too embarrassed, I found that pretty ironic. Also Yuv from MTTF was on the plane and we were talking to him we say are 2p2 names and are given blankish stares someone mentions Apathy and he goes "Oh Apathy I know him". so he truly is an internet celebrity. Beat on the plane ride I watched The Departed on the TVs built into the seats the plane landed with like 30 minutes left in the movie. |

word. I honestly dont dislike many people on here. Yet, pudge and eagles (especially pudgy) annoy the hell out of me and give me a massive head ache. [/ QUOTE ] Meh, I don't really like hating people on the internet With that said.... I guess you make posts that are annoying sometimes and I find that you think too highly of your own poker ability. But everyone thinks they're better at poker then they are so you aren't really alone there. [ QUOTE ] 1. Most memorable cash/tournament hand ever played? [/ QUOTE ] I guess this Seat 1: Villain( $ 2,354.50 USD ) Seat 4: Hero( $ 1,611.17 USD ) Seat 2: BB ( $ 295.40 USD ) Seat 6: Button( $ 776 USD ) Seat 5: UTG+ 2( $ 375.10 USD ) Seat 3: UTG ( $ 302.34 USD ) Villain posts small blind [$ 3 USD]. BB posts big blind [$ 6 USD]. ** Dealing down cards ** Dealt to Hero [ Ad Jh ] UTG folds. Hero raises $ 22. Button folds. Villain calls [$ 19 USD] BB folds. ** Dealing Flop ** [ Kd, 4c, Qs ] Villain checks. Hero bets [$ 32 USD] Villain raises [$ 90 USD] Hero calls [$ 58 USD] ** Dealing Turn ** [ Th ] Villain bets [$ 160 USD] Hero raises [$ 522 USD] Villain calls [$ 362 USD] ** Dealing River ** [ 8s ] Villain checks. Hero is all-In. Villain calls [$ 977.17 USD] Villain shows [ 9c, Jc ]a straight Nine to King. Hero shows [ Ad, Jh ]a straight Ten to Ace. Hero wins $ 3,225.34 USD from the main pot with a straight, Ten to Ace. [ QUOTE ] 2. What primary thing(s) does a sng player (like myself) need to be succesful in the transition to cash? [/ QUOTE ] A good natural poker ability. There are a lot of people who can grind and make money. But I think you need a good poker mind to make the transition. I think the people who are the best at sngs when they move over will be the best at cash. A lot of cash players act like they're better than sng players but it's a bunch of bull [censored]. I mean if you have one guy who has played 500k hands of cash lifetime vs. someone who has played 10k sngs and 50k hands of cash obviously the guy who played 500k hands of cash will be better at cash more often than not. It doesn't make him some incredible poker player who's to good for donkaments it just means he has played a lot more cash so is better at cash. [ QUOTE ] 3. What was hardest cash transition for you to make? (I.E. jump from .5/.10nl to .10/.25 ) [/ QUOTE ] I guess from sngs to 2/4 I never really played 1/2 I guess I played a few k hands but nothing serious. [ QUOTE ] 4. What was hardest sng transition for you to make? [/ QUOTE ] I only really played to 60s I played a few hundred 27s and a few hundred 114s but that's about it. I guess from the 60s to the 114s because I had an unsuccessful shot at them. [ QUOTE ] 5. Best poker advice/slogan/whatever you have heard? [/ QUOTE ] Just look through everything Jman has written about poker and probably about a dozen things in there. |
