Re: Very good draw against a very aggro player. Tough decisions!
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] When I bet this flop its looking to shove over a raise nearly always. [/ QUOTE ] why? [/ QUOTE ] Because then we have to play oop in a huge pot on the turn when we miss 3/4 of the time and he bets nearly always when a blank falls. [/ QUOTE ] I still think its more +EV than shoving flop when you know he's calling [/ QUOTE ] I agree shoving is better with combo draws that have overcards, especially QJ[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] since you can actually be a favorite when called, instead of hoping for 43-48% equity |

Re: Very good draw against a very aggro player. Tough decisions!
I'm at a loss as to why u didn't push the flop
If not, just c/r the turn. [ QUOTE ] you might be over valuing a draw like this, you only have gutshot and low flush draw, if you did get it in on the flop or turn you might be very far behind. I guess the river is fine because his stats say hes really awful, but i would need a real read instead of stats to do this kind of move. [/ QUOTE ] 3-betting the flop or c/r the turn will fold out higher draws for us. And saying that a gutshot plus flush draw is not that strong is insanity - especially vs an aggro opponent like this guy. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] When I bet this flop its looking to shove over a raise nearly always. [/ QUOTE ] why? [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] I don't see why you are leading the flop if it isn't to bet/3 bet AI. If you don't want to get it in then c/c seems better. [/ QUOTE ] again...why? [/ QUOTE ] To fold out higher flush draws - or any draw for that matter. [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] When I bet this flop its looking to shove over a raise nearly always. [/ QUOTE ] why? Re: Very good draw against a very aggro player. Tough decisions!
Why not c/c then in the first place then? Are you going to double barrel when you get called on the flop and the turn bricks?

[/ QUOTE ] We lead because we have fold equity, no one has shown any strength. But when you get raised by this villain, looks like FE is pretty low so you play the draw passively. Probably not worth double barrelling this type of villain. |

Re: Very good draw against a very aggro player. Tough decisions!
I'd probably fold the turn, 12 outs is nice and all, but you need around to 2.8-1 to call, villain is giving you about 2.3 direct odds and has 100 left so your implied odds arnt that great (3.8-1) and your hand isnt going to win everytime it hits, the flush is small and you straight outs also fill better straights, sure its not a big deal but its probably enough to mean that even with implied odds your probably not getting the 2.8-1 you need to call.
A check raise push might be better but thats very villain dependant. |
