I understand the tilt factor but I think if you dropped to only 7-8k extra you would have gottin it. Plus also 3-4k in equity from the 10 left on the table which I think is more equity than you have from playing it out.

if yer doing it that way.. my equity is then what, 30-40%? 30-40% equity in a what, 50k prize difference.. that math makes me think that not taking a deal would be automatically the best option. i understand everyone who doesnt get why i did what i did, and thats fine. its not my way. my maximum ev play was to not deal. so i didnt. holla

if anything i think youo boost someone's confidence doing this

they want to beat u that much more and may even play better

[/ QUOTE ]

i disagree jex, i think in general, when someone wants to beat you even more, they carry hands way too far, and overplay them like crazy. in omaha, if someone is doing this, they are dead meat. holla

raptor if you are playing for 10k as opposed to 50-60k I think your edge is larger because he may be more lax as most poeple would be after they secure 125-130k. Thats why honestly I think your edge was 25% without a deal but 30-40% when doing the deal and playing for 10k. make sense?

even at 25% its more +ev to play it out. thats all my whole point has been from the beginning. it would be more +ev to just play it out. but its def easy to look back and say i threw away 10k cuz i lost. holla

well I was just tossing our numbers etc. Even when it was happening I was saying that to shave off 2-3k which really isn't much I still thought the deal would be +ev.
